After 4 years of playing DJ gigs under the moniker Papa Jawnz, lui. (transit records, Buwanbuwan Collective) releases his first ever single on Sept. 12th, 2020 via transit records. Garden Meditation, the lead single on his debut EP entitled The Sun In My Window, is a tribute to a summer lost brought about by the unforeseen global pandemic. What was supposed to be the celebration of his breakaway from school and the “last summer before real life” became months of virtual exploration. Garden Meditation is lui.’s reflection on the moments and memories lost during this time.

Sonically, Garden Meditation features a nuanced two-step beat with dreamy balearic synths, deep percussions and a finely tuned mix of cymbals and highs. The highly anticipated Single and EP highlights lui.’s broad range of musical influences spanning from hip-hop, disco and house among others.
